The U.S. House of Representatives today passed a continuing resolution (CR) 335-91 to fund the federal government to November 17. Importantly, the CR includes an extension of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) to the same date. Without an extension by Congress the NFIP will lapse after midnight tonight.

The Senate must now pass the CR today to avoid a lapse of the NFIP.
