Jon Gentile 

Jon is vice president of government relations at PIA National, where he leads the advocacy effort of the association before Congress. Jon began working at PIA National in early 2014. In addition to representing PIA National on Capitol Hill, Jon is responsible for managing the annual Federal Legislative Summit.

Before joining PIA National, Jon spent the last decade working in federal government relations for a variety of nonprofits and trade associations on a broad range of issues, including business, law enforcement, labor, and education. Jon sits on the board of directors of the National Institute for Lobbying and Ethics (NILE) and holds a bachelor’s degree in politics and a master’s degree in international affairs from the Catholic University of America.

 

Lauren Pachman, Esq. 

Lauren is PIA National’s counsel and director of regulatory affairs. Lauren began working at PIA National in late 2015. Before joining PIA National, Lauren was a policy analyst with the American Academy of Actuaries, where she worked with federal agencies, Congress, state insurance regulators, and state insurance legislators on property and casualty issues. Lauren began her career litigating complex personal injury, medical malpractice, and insurance defense cases in the District of Columbia and Maryland.

In her current position, Lauren represents the interests of PIA members before the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), the National Council of Insurance Legislators (NCOIL), and relevant federal agencies.  Lauren sits on the board of directors of the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) and the Industry Education Council of NCOIL. She also serves as PIA National’s in-house counsel.

Lauren holds a B.A. in political science from The College of New Jersey (formerly Trenton State College) and earned her law degree at The George Washington University Law School.

Kristen Gwilt

Kristen is the government relations associate at PIA National, where she oversees the PIA Political Action Committee (PIAPAC), helps lead grassroot efforts, and assists in PIA National’s advocacy efforts. Kristen began working at PIA in September 2019. In addition to her other duties, Kristen represents PIA at events throughout the year and provides outreach and support to members.

Before Joining PIA, Kristen worked in membership and outreach roles and public affairs roles for a variety of non-profits and consulting firms.  Kristen holds a bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies from Syracuse University and a master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from The George Washington University.
