Recently PIA National’s annual PIA Advocacy Day was postponed indefinitely due to coronavirus-related travel and crowd-size limitations. At Advocacy Day, Congressman Alex Mooney (R-WV) was to be awarded PIA’s 2020 Legislator of the Year Award. The congressman was chosen to receive the award due to his steadfast leadership in championing legislation to repeal the Federal Insurance Office (FIO). FIO repeal is a PIA top priority.

Because of the change in plans, Congressman Mooney graciously agreed to instead accept the award via video, which you can watch above.

PIA National leadership will present the accompanying plaque to Rep. Mooney at a later date in Washington, D.C.
