                         Why She’s Important to Agents:

Sen. Britt serves on the Senate Committee on Appropriations and the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Development, giving her significant influence over many PIA Policy Priority issues, including the Federal Insurance Office (FIO), National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), and cannabis safe harbor. PIA worked closely with Sen. Britt’s office for her introduction of the Insurance Data Protection Act to repeal the FIO’s subpoena authority. This is companion legislation to existing House legislation, both introduced with PIA’s full support.

PIA will continue to work with Sen. Britt to curtail the FIO’s authority.
